DON'T FORGET TO SAVE AS YOU WORK!!!

Importing images into Movie Maker.

1. Now we are going to put all of the pictures you have taken into Movie Maker in order to animate them. Movie Maker is a video editing software that will allow you to not only animate your images, but also experiment with editing.
Begin by watching this quick how-to video on using Movie Maker. This tutorial is directed toward video clips, but it will work for photographs as well.

2. Click on “Show Timeline.” This is where you will do all of your video work.
3. To import photos, click on “File” and then “Import into Collections.” It will be easier for you to put all of the pictures that you want to use into one folder.
4. Click on “Import.”
5. Click on collections and locate the pictures that you just imported. Rename the folder so that you can locate them easily in the future.
6. At this point you should save your work. It is important to continually save your work so that you do not lose anything. Go to “File” and click “Save Project.”

Animating the images.

7. Now you should watch the next portion of the Movie Maker tutorial. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FgMBUuByjmk&feature=relmfu
8. First we are going to change the duration of the images. This needs to be done before the pictures are moved onto the timeline. Click “Tools” at the top and then choose “Options.” Change the picture duration to somewhere between 0.2 and 0.5 seconds. The lower you set the duration the more movielike your animation will look, but it will also be shorter. If the duration is longer, it will look more like a set of images put together, which is just as cool and your animation will be longer. Think about the look you want your animation to have.
9. Next we are going to move your pictures from the collection onto the timeline, which is where you will be able to edit.
10. Click on the folder from “Collections” that contains your photographs.
11. Right click between the videos and choose “Select All.” Drag the photographs down into the timeline. They will be put into the order that you had them in before.
12. You can play through your movie to see that all of your hard work really was worth it.
13. Remember to save.
14. If there are photographs that you do not want in your movie, click on the specific picture(s) that you do not want. Drag your mouse across the image and when you let go of the mouse, that picture will delete. If you make a mistake, click “Edit” and “Undo Trim Clip.”
15. Your images should now be animated! Who knew you could create a movie using objects and a camera!

Final editing.

19. You can change the animation to make it unique. Explore with the different animations. You can also change the text, font, and color.
20. When you are done with the title, go back to “Titles and Credits.”
