Pinwheels for Peace

We started off the year making Pinwheels for Peace. This is a worldwide event that promotes the idea of peace, on both a big and small scale. Students colored pinwheels using peaceful colors and symbols and then assembled them. With their classes, students placed their pinwheels in the ground to create a large peace sign during the day of the event. Everyone from Kindergarten to Eighth Grade participated.
