Wacky Sentence Art

Third graders are working hard and having fun this week in art class. Students are in charge of writing down 6 verbs, 6 places, 6 creatures, and 6 adjectives on separate pieces of paper. We then look through all of the words and students choose a wacky sentence that they feel drawn to. We are using sharpie to illustrate their wacky sentences on wacky shaped papers. The last step will be learning about how artists reflect in order to write individual artist statements.
