Kimmy Cantrell Inspired Faces

What makes flaws beautiful? This is exactly what Kimmy Cantrell hopes to answer through his beautifully flawed creamic faces. We talked about this concept in third grade and using Kimmy Cantrell as inspiration, the students created their own imperfect faces. We started by creating four rough drafts, from which the students chose their favorite to make into a final piece. They used cut paper, cardboard, and a variety of patterns to create their own unique faces. I love the end result of this project and especially love the creativity that came out of each child!
