Jeffrey Gibson Inspired 3D Artwork

Third grade artists learned about the work of Jeffrey Gibson. He is a Colorado Native who has lived all over the world and is currently teaching art at Bard College in New York. His inspiration comes largely from the places he has lived and his Cherokee ancestry. We then discuss what inspires each of us and create work inspired by Gibson. Each table is then challenged to create three-dimensional work. We share our findings and last but not least, each student turns their Gibson inspired work three-dimensional.
